Government Affairs Committee

The APWA Government Affairs Committee and other member advocates are implementing efforts to create partnerships with key stakeholders, establish new lines of communication with policy-makers and extend our outreach into the center of public policy discussions. And we are making an impact.

The committee does not have the authority to make policy. It can initiate policy proposals and has responsibility for reviewing and making recommendations to the Board on all policies/positions initiated by other organizational units within APWA, chapters, or individual members.

The year ahead presents APWA with many new opportunities to build upon the successes we have achieved.
